A Boston woman was charged with murder Friday in the stabbing death of a man whose body was found attached to weights and wrapped in duct tape on a houseboat in Charlestown.Nora Nelson, 24, was arraigned on a murder charge in the death of 65-year-old Joseph Donohue, who was found dead Sunday after police went to the marina to conduct a well-being check. Officers said Nelson answered the door and was "evasive and unresponsive" when questioned about Donohue's whereabouts, and she told them that Donohue was at a strip club. An officer entered the houseboat and found the victim's body "wrapped in a white and blue covering, secured with duct tape and affixed with weights," Assistant District Attorney Rita Muse said. A dog was found dead in the water near the houseboat, police said.Nelson was held without bail and is scheduled to return to court on March 6.As she was remanded into custody, she said: "Nobody ever told me that this even happened at my house. This is the first time I've even heard of this happening at my house." Sources told 5 Investigates that Donohue, who lived alone on the houseboat with his two dogs, was stabbed dozens of times in the head and chest. 5 Investigates learned Donohue was stabbed so violently that the blade of the knife broke off in his skull. Sources said divers recovered what was left of the murder weapon in the water.A big part of the investigation in cases like this will be trying to determine what the suspect was doing and where she was going right before and after the crime, including looking at credit card purchases and any surveillance video, sources said.
